Reduce Risk Of Infection From Swine Flu & Sneezes PDF Print E-mail

Atriums electrostatic dispersion team are working on creating a microscopic in-situ fogging effect to purge the air of bacteria and particulates. By working with unique active ingredients they will sanitise the air and all surfaces. This anti-microbial device is still in development, but even today Atrium can help with reducing the risk of infection from Swine Flu

Atrium's Cleanaer device is the only in-room technology that has been shown to remove sneeze droplets from the air, wherever they occur in a room without moving the air. This clearing effect is immediate as soon as new microbes are introduced into the air.

Liquidion droplets collide with airborne particle, forming small charged clusters and ultimately purge the air of these particles. This means that a sneeze is arrested quickly and will not continue to project across a room. Consequently a liquid ioniser like Cleanaer can contribute significantly to the current outbreak of Swine Flu by dramatically reducing the risk of air to air infection. Many people have turned to masks to protect them from airborne transmission, however there is little evidence that masks actually offer protection against flu. They can also be uncomfortable and unpractical to wear over long periods of time. Atrium's Cleanaer device can offer 24hr protection for homes and work places in a non intrusive way.

The Future

Atrium's team of scientists are developing an improved Liquidion , that when release will not only clear the air but also sanitise the air and surfaces. By partnering with innovative active ingredients they are working towards a technology that can sanitise all of the air and surfaces in a room, safely while people are present.

Imagine an environment where everything around is constantly being cleaned. Liquidions could in the future not only remove bacteria, germs and viruses but render them harmless as soon as they are introduced. This development would give 24hr protection and offer a non intrusive, safe, passive protection for all people in public buildings.
