The global respiratory market was worth $32.4billion in 2005 (+8% year-on-year) with over 50% of respiratory drug sales spent on asthma and chronic obstruction pulmonary disease, with the remainder spent on other respiratory diseases, including allergic rhinitis, coughs and colds, cystic fibrosis and pneumonia.
